Kit Tai Hau: Professor of Educational Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was formerly the Vice-President of the University. He studies educational assessment and student motivation. He is a Fellow of the American Educational Research Association and the International Association of Applied Psychology. Professor Hou has also participated in the technical and strategic committees of several national and international educational assessment projects.

This presentation will explore the strengths and weaknesses of students in different economies by analyzing the results of large-scale education surveys such as PISA 2022. We will discuss some common misconceptions, such as the importance of e-learning and project-based learning, as well as issues such as self-concept, meaning in life, and anxiety among Asian students. The presentation aims to provide practical insights for schools and educators to help them understand and address challenges in education and promote the holistic development of students.
