On July 1st, 2010, a symposium by Prof. LI Kunchong, the Director of Institute of Education of Cheng Kung University of Taiwan is held at Room 1613 of Liberal Arts Building of ECNU. In his report, Prof. LI introduced the formulating process of Taiwan's High School Curriculum Guideline. He highlighted the complexity of formulating the guideline and sees it as a process of balancing between the interests of political parties, teachers, students and parents. This is why perfect guideline never exists and why guidelines are always called as Temporary and are frequently revised in Taiwan.
