Professor Wu Gangping introduced the curriculum reform of base education in China at the University of California in the United States

Professor Wu Gangping, invited by professor Edith Mukudi Omwami of the university of California, Los Angeles, attended the curriculum seminar hosted by professor Edith Mukudi Omwami and introduced the curriculum reform of base education of China on 18th January, 2011.

Professor Wu Gangping specifically reported the background, objectives and strategies, the structure and function of the new curriculum, teaching methods, teaching material and curriculum resource development, test and evaluation, three-level administration, and the main challenges since the implementation of the curriculum reform of basic education of China. He answered the questions from teachers and students in the seminar about the curriculum reform and bilingual education, especially the dialect and minority language education, etc. And some other issues which caused mutual concern were also on the discussion and exchange.
