Professor Sato Manabu Visits ICI

Professor Sato Manabu from University of Tokyo and associate Professor Kitamura form Sophia University visited ICI on June 7. Professor Qiquan Zhong, Yunhuo Cui and Xiaomin Shen received them and made exchange on how to establish community of learners. Associate Professor Kitamura and Professor Zhongjian Zhao visited New York University Shanghai Centre and discussed the internationalization of higher education.

On the afternoon, they delivered lectures in the auditorium of ECNUUP respectively. Associate Professor Kitamura’s lecture is about the internationalization of education and its possibility. He believes that all nations should work together to cultivate global brain. And higher education should rethink its value from the perspective of brain sharing. Professor Sato Manabu’s lecture is about school and curriculum reform in 21st century, which elaborates the direction of school reform in 21st century. He believes that schools in 21st century must focus on its quality and equality. Its curriculum must be transformed from type of program to that of project. And cooperative learning must be emphasized.
