ICI Held a Second Seminar for the Database Development

A second seminar for Development of Academic Burden Database of Primary and Secondary Schools’ Students, chaired by Dr. Zheng Ke, was held in Qingshuiwan Hotel on October 13 and 14, 2011. During the seminar, database’s functions, the definition and measurements of academic burden, and key control variables needing to survey were discussed and clarified. And follow-up work division and process were arranged. A final framework and work program were agreed by all.

To make the research of database development effective and ensure its quality, a work model of Review Panel & Expert Group was adopted. The director of ICI, as leader of Review Panel, was responsible for inviting well-known experts from homeland or foreign to review the proposal of Expert Group, and making final decisions. Expert Group was responsible for the specific researches of database development. Till now, four experts from outside of ICI, such as Chinese University of Hong Kong, were employed as phase 1 members of Expert Group.
