The International Conference on Classroom Assessment, an exiting event in theacdamic area of educational evaluation and assessment organized by ICI, was
successfully held in Home of Teachers, East China Normal University (ECNU), Minhang
District during 4th to 6th November 2011.
More than 10 experts from USA, Germany, France, Japan and Korea, as well as over
200 scholars and researchers home and abroad took parts in this conference to discuss
the topic of Classroom Assessment for Students Learning and Development.
On 4th November, a round-table conference was held for the experts to do a high level
conversation, in which the significence of assessment directing to students learning and
development was emphasized in both acdemic research and teaching practice. In the
following two days, these experts delivered their keynote report with different acdemic
backgrounds and viewsions. Scholars and teachers from teaching practice also shared
their remarkable thinking and findings.
There were hot arguments raised on five branch topics such as Alignment among
Classroom Assessment, Curriculum Standard and Large-scale Summary Assessment,
Best Practices in Classroom Assessment Design and Implementation, Learning Progress,
Student Development and Classroom Assessment System Design, Classroom Assessment
and Information Technology, adn Classroom Assessment and Teacher Professional
Development.
This conference was high appreciated as to provide a chance that great minds met
each other and created brilliant ideas, and an international network was established.
