ICI Held 2nd“Shanghai Curriculum Roundtable Forum”

From June 24 to 25, ICI of East China Normal University and Institute of French Education of Lyon Higher Normal College held 2^nd“Shanghai Curriculum Roundtable Forum: Science and Mathematics Education between France and China” successfully. Prof. Cui Yunhuo, the superintendent of ICI unveiled the “Joint Research Institute of Science and Mathematics of France and China(C2SE)” and introduced some basic information of ICI with Prof. MarylineCoquidé from Institute of French Education of Lyon Higher Normal College, who was a famous scholar in science education in France. As the leader of the French side, Prof. MarylineCoquidé visited our university in order to research and discuss on curricula and resources of science education of compulsory education in France and China.

Other participants of the roundtable forum include Prof. XuBinyan, Prof. Pei Xinning and Associate Prof. ZhengTainian of ICI, Dr. ZhengXiaohui and Zhang Chunlei of College of Life Science, Mrs. Xu Ping of Shanghai Teaching and Research Section, and some teachers, doctoral students, postgraduate students and visiting scholar in relative domains.

This roundtable forum was one of the academic activities of C2SE, through which both teams from France and China had discussed recent research results and constructed the framework of research together.
