Recently a first-class disciplinary construction project has been promoted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, mainly aiming at state-level key disciplines development. As one of the selected academic institutions, the researchers of science of education in ECNU devote themselves to the three areas of study on educational policy, learning science and curriculum & instruction.
Based on the detailed analysis of the institution’s contributions to the field of curriculum study and the gap with the front research, and the complete survey on the global development of curriculum research , with the materials consist of the reports made by international organizations like UNESCO and OECD and the production achieved by the well-known departments of education, the ICI team involves in this program and centers around the curriculum development study, seeking a significant breakthrough in the curriculum integration to core literacy, classroom transformation, performative assessment and a further construction of empirical research platform ICIC.
