Prof. Zhong Qiquan, the Honorary director for his outstanding contribution to ICI, published the new study The Design of Learning Environments: Framework and Projects on Educational Research.
Aiming at transforming teaching-centered classroom into learning- centered classroom in primary and secondary schools, Prof. Zhong put forward an idea of the design of learning environments, which belongs to the category of design science. The basic viewpoints on the design of learning environments are learner-centered, knowledge-centered, assessment-centered and community-centered. The design of learning environments means a series of action projects subverting ideas and systems of examination- oriented education, the value of knowledge acquisition, target sequence of subject education and traditional instruction design mode.
