At the invitation of OECD Education Program, from October 23 to 25, Dr. Wang Tao, on behalf of Prof. Cui Yunhuo, attended the 6th meeting of 2030 Education Program conference of OECD in Paris. There are about 200 government officials, educational experts, social organizations and school representatives from over 30 countries attended this conference. They mainly discussed the issues about learning framework of 2030 educational project, curriculum analysis plan, and time difference in curriculum field.

As invited expert, Dr. Wang Tao introduced how China manage and cope with the time difference in curriculum field. Taking an example of the General Senior Curriculum Standards of China, which will published soon, he mainly presented the general framework and connotation of China’s key competence, the curriculum reform and curriculum system based on disciplinary key competence, and the way that China cope with the gap between curriculum decision-making and its implementation.

During the meeting, they further discussed the connotation of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values in the learning framework of 2030 education. They also further expand the primary key competence framework of OECD. In addition, the conference announced the preliminary analysis results of the math and sports disciplines in the curriculum analysis program, and the preliminary analysis of the international curriculum policy survey. Dr. Wang Tao actively participated in this conference, he introduced the latest curriculum research and reform experience to representatives from many other countries. Dr. Wang Tao also established initial contact with the Education Department that in charge of curriculum design of other countries.
During the conference, Dr. Wang Tao, on behalf of Prof. Cui Yunhuo, who is the director of ICI, discussed with Andreas Schleicher about the details of his first speech in China. Andreas Schleicher is the Minister of Education and Skills of OECD, and is also the founder of PISA (Program for International Student Assessment). Minister Schleicher particularly mentioned his confidence and approval of the education in China and fully affirmed the reference function of China's experience to the third world countries. This exchange conference is an important attempt made by ICI in recent years on "China's experiences, share with the whole world". ICI will further strengthen cooperation and exchange with other countries and international organizations to learn and share experiences in curriculum and instruction field.
