ICI Occupational Guidance║ICI Helps You to “Win Victory” in Autumn Recruitment

In order to help graduate students to optimize their career planning, ICI invited four outstanding alumni from different industries / positions to share their employment experiences and answer questions for graduate students.


At the beginning of the seminar, Associate Professor Lei Hao stressed that the employment rate of graduates is a direct embodiment of the training quality of graduate students. ICI has always attached great importance to the employment of graduate students. Even if it is affected by the epidemic, the employment rate of ICI is 100%. However, the epidemic has not completely disappeared. In order to help graduate students to optimize their career planning, ICI specially organized this seminar.

01. Liu Denghui: Associate Professor of Jiangnan University

Liu Denghui, Associate Professor of Jiangnan University, graduated from ICI in 2019. He shared his experience in finding a job. He suggested that students should make full use of the high-quality platform of ICI to accumulate experience and strength.

02. Pan Tian: A Counselor/Instructor in East China University of Science and Technology

Pan Tian graduated from ICI in 2018, she first shared the qualities that a counselor should have. Then, she also suggested that students should target their favorite cities and positions for internships. What’s more, when preparing resumes, students need to adjust their resumes according to their target positions, think in advance how to stand out in the interview.

03. Dai Danni: A Chinese Teacher in Shanghai Jiangning School

Dai Danni graduated from ICI in 2019, she shared her experiences from four aspects:

First, she recommended graduate students to pay attention to recruitment information on the Internet. Second, she suggested graduate students to show their teaching ability when making resume. Third, she said it would be better for students to balance the relationship between thesis writing and internship. Fourth, she said students are supposed to keep their mind at ease.

04. Zhuang Yanze: A Civil Servant in Minhang District, Shanghai

Zhuang Yanze graduated from ICI in 2020. Starting from her personal experience, Zhuang Yanze focused on the recruitment process, key skills and development space of civil servants. She also shared her experience on how to coordinate the relationship between graduation and employment, as well as how to prepare for various written exams and interviews. Zhuang reminded students that compared with the highly competitive autumn recruitment, there may be more opportunities for spring recruitment.

At the end of the seminar, Hu Hang, the counselor/instructor of ICI, summarized reporters’ experiences. He hoped that students can enjoy the job-hunting process, and communicate more with their tutors, and pay timely attention to recruitment information.
