ICI Student Cultivation║The Fourth Learning Plan Design Competition Came to a Successful Conclusion

Learning plan is a professional teaching plan designed by teachers, it leads students to experience a learning process with challenges, high-input, and to obtain meaningful learning results.

Recently, the final of the Fourth Learning Plan Design Competition was officially held. This competition is for postgraduate students from various department in the Faculty of Education, ECNU, and finally received more than 30 preliminary entries. Among them, a total of 10 students were admitted in the final round of this competition.

Professor Zhou Yong, associate professor Zhou Wenye, Lei Hao, Wang Xiaoming, and Hu Hang, the counselor/ instructor of ICI, attended the competition.


01. Q & A

In order to help contestants and the present audience to further understand the concept of learning plan, the final contains the session of Q & A.


Five multiple choice questions are selected from The Revolution of Teaching Plan: Learning Plan Based on Curriculum Standard.


02. Presentations

After the session of Q&A, the students presented their learning plan in order. Their plans cover the whole section of primary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools, with Chinese, English, chemistry, biology etc. included.


03. Expert Comments

After the presentation session, the attended experts commented on contestants’ performance. The experts first think highly of the performance of the students, then put forward valuable suggestions to them.

Professor Zhou Yong suggested that students should enhance their academic foundation, keep good relationship with their students, cope with setbacks appropriately. He suggested that students should first target the examination requirements, and then optimize their teaching performance.


Associate professor Zhou Wenye suggested that students should grasp the nature of the discipline, strengthen their understanding of the discipline, and continue to improve their learning plan in practice.


Associate professor Wang Xiaoming hoped that students will set up teaching goals and pay attention to the process of the transformation of their teaching goals. When designing the learning process, Wang recommend that students should conduct learning plan under the guidance of theories, so that the teaching effect would be improved.


Associate professor Lei Hao suggested that in order to implement the key competency of the discipline, learning plan designers should highlight the nature of that discipline.


Hu Hang suggested that students should pay attention to the integrity of the teaching process. In terms of educational concept, learning plan designers should excavate the opportunities and conditions for education in each class.
