SHANGHAI— A high-level delegation from the Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Education, led by H.E. Saif Mubarak Saleh Aljulandani (Director General of the Directorate General of Educational Supervision), paid an official visit to East China Normal University (ECNU). The visit aimed to comprehensively explore pioneering innovations in Shanghai's K-12 and higher education frameworks, with a core focus on digital transformation.

The Institute of Curriculum and Instruction (ICI) at ECNU took a leading role in this international exchange, positioning its independently developed AI Classroom (AIC) analysis system as a cornerstone of China's empirical, data-driven teacher professional development model.
High-Level Bilateral Seminar: Digitalization and Educational Supervision
The Omani delegation engaged in a strategic education seminar at ECNU’s Gezhi Building to cross-examine policy implementation, digital pedagogical tracking, and quality assurance frameworks.

The Omani Delegation: Led by Director General Saif Mubarak Saleh Aljulandani, the cohort included Ibrahim Khalfan Al Shain Alamri (Director of the Continuing Education Department), Rashid Mohammed Said Mohammed Al-Hinnai (Director of the Educational Supervision Department), and four senior educational supervisors.
The ECNU & Municipal Delegation: Coordinated by Chen Hongbo (Executive Deputy Director of the Educational Supervision Office of Changning District Government & Shanghai Municipal Inspector), Zhou Yong (Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, ECNU), Prof. Yang Xiaozhe (Party Branch Secretary of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction), Dr. Xu Shiyu (Assistant to the Director of ICI), alongside senior administrative heads from the International Center for Chinese Language Teachers.
During the panel, Professor Yang Xiaozhe and Dr. Xu Shiyu delivered a joint technical and pedagogical report on the operational mechanisms, algorithmic indicators, and systemic implementation of the AIC system.


Pioneering Scale: Upgraded Architecture of the AIC 2.0 Platform
The ICI team showcased the latest empirical scaling data of the AIC platform to the Omani ministry officials, demonstrating its capacity to function as a macro-level educational public good:

Delegation members expressed an explicit interest in establishing a formalized bilateral partnership with ICI.
